I am not Jewish and I loved learning about the culture while falling in love with Max and Naomi. I think Naomi is a fabulous second chance story character. Wilck gives us a heroine who through ignorance ends up having her life upended and having to rebuild.
I do find the scenes in Pennsylvania a little curious and wonder if Wilck has a separate series involving this bit of fairytale magic. Like Naomi, I was disbelieving of this section, but if my Mom was telling me this, I would nod along too.
Whispers In Washington is a quick read to get you ready for the weekend. A little bit of love. A bit of scandal. But unlike in the real D.C., here you get a guaranteed happy ending.
I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
