This whole series has been problematic for me, because all of the relationships between the MCs involve one person living a big fat lie and keeping it secret from the other MC. I guess Lindsey is having some fun with the trope, and the MCs all have Reasons for their behavior, but it was hard for me to get past my distaste for dishonesty. In Who We Were Adan doesn't tell Noah many things, including the fact that he is a famous movie star and that he is not the “professional cuddler” that Noah was anticipating. Some of the lies are facilitated by the fact that Noah is legally blind, which seems especially cruel. Lindsey has written characters who have disabilities with great sensitivity in numerous books, so it is surprising that they use Noah's blindness to make him a victim. I'm not sure I felt the chemistry between the MCs either from the few times they interacted, and Adan's grovel, like Jacob's in [b:All You Touch 58319206 All You Touch (Love Starts Here #2) E.M. At least there are more Irons & Works books coming in 2022. I admire Lindsey for using different styles and tropes in their series, but this one was not my favorite.
