I enjoyed this travel memoir but also understand the criticism from those who were expecting more. Yes, she went to the typical places (Paris, Rome, London) and yes part of the time she traveled with a bus tour and no, she didn't have many insights to share about hidden places to visit or unusual experiences, but I enjoyed her journaling about her experiences of wandering with no plan or deadline through some of my favorite cities and seeing how she enjoyed her sabbatical from normal life with its deadlines and structure – perhaps because I'm interested in taking time off to do something similar.
