For me this book subverted a lot of the expectations I had going in, and in a good way.

I loved the pacing of the story. It didn't seem rushed, the angst was very realistic given the position they were in. I love that there was no minimization of one MCs previous love story. But most of all, I loved the resolution for the letters. That's never really how you expect it to go. I'll absolutely be reading more by this author.
