Entertaining diversion but I think a great deal of this is exaggerated, creative “nonfiction.”
Good if you like a lot of background information on the principle human characters, mixed in with bits and pieces of how the quest was conceived plus hypothetical (but realistically developed) “future” scenarios, but not as good if you are looking for a more factual account of the effort and current state of things. It felt like the actual pertinent material was pretty slim, and the rest was added to pad it out to book length. The writing style (reconstructed conversation) did make the book quite an easy read.
