Rae Ryder has knocked it out of the park once again with Worth Every Risk, the captivating third installment in the Hawkston Billionaire series! As an ARC reader, I was absolutely thrilled to get an early glimpse into this story, and it more than delivered. I'm giving it a resounding 10/10!
The premise alone is enough to draw you in: a grumpy, recently divorced billionaire, Matt, finds himself needing a nanny and hires the sweet and much younger Aires. The chemistry between these two is undeniable, and watching their relationship unfold is an absolute pleasure. Ryder masterfully builds the tension and emotional depth, making every interaction feel both heartfelt and electric.
This book wasn't just smiles and butterflies, though. It has depth that resonated with me personally. The storyline involving Aires' mother, particularly, brought up some raw emotions, as it echoed my own experience of losing my mother. While it was a difficult point to connect with, it also added a layer of authenticity and vulnerability to the story that I truly appreciated.
Prepare for a rollercoaster of emotions! I found myself laughing out loud one minute and shedding tears the next. Oh, and let's not forget the blushes! This book is definitely steamy and delivers on the romance front.
Ryder does an incredible job of developing both Aires and Matt, making their individual journeys as compelling as their relationship. It's a testament to her writing that I'm now even more conflicted on which Hawkston brother holds my heart! This book only intensifies the competition for the title of “favorite”!
Now, the burning question is: Who's next? Seb, I'm ready for your story! Worth Every Risk has left me eagerly anticipating the next chapter in this delicious series. If you're a fan of grumpy/sunshine romance, billionaire tropes, or just a well-written and emotionally charged read, then you absolutely need to pick this one up! Highly recommended!
