Year of the Reaper

This book isn't bad, but not a favorite of mine. It seemed that a lot of unnecessary details were added just for the sake of it. Particularly descriptive sentences that added nothing. There is no explanation of how or why Cas can see spirits and others can't. I am assuming it is because he survived the plague but that is not stated. Also, the conflict appeared to have wrapped up too quickly. The whole book was leading up to finding this assassin and they were dealt with in the span of three pages. But an easy read for me and the concept is interesting so I cannot complain.
