Boy, I didn't know make of this at a certain point. This is a New York thriller that eventually goes pretty haywire tonally – moving back and forth from tonied domestic dramas to deadpan satire to an almost laughable scenes of graphic violence to something out of Norman Rockwell. Eventually, I had to admire the book and author for sheer audacity.
