Brutal, probably deserves 5 stars but I almost gave up as it was so intense and deeply terryfying, and reflects too much that is going in the world.
A great book but I cant say I enjoyed reading it.

I loved it, I know objectively its not as good as his older stuff but I just love how he writes characters and I just love the ride.
God bless the King

Great book but so depressing

DNF at about 40%, loved the opening and the premise but then just got irritated with it and found it hard to follow - maybe the audio is more confusing but it kept jumping about Russia to New York and i was never sure which character was speaking.
Not for Me

I adored these books , The Caskeys feel like family, I am so sad to be saying goodbye to them.

I listened to this on audible the narrator was excellent and for the first half/15 hours I loved it definitely a five star book but as the main character grew into adolescence he grated and grated on me and by the end it felt more of an endurance test. Am putting as 3 stars as feels unfair to score 1 which is how I felt by end. It is a good book but I got bored of living in his head feels a relief to be free.

Couldn't put this disturbing book down read in 1 day, was definitely going to be a 5 but I found the ending annoying, 1 unnecessary twist too many.

I loved this book so much, instantly one of my top 5 books and genuinely really scary.

Last Days is a great freaky read, I resented having to put it down, It is a proper atmospheric scary tale with terrifying imagery and a compelling story.
It starts pretty strong getting creepier and creepier only slightly let down by the insane over the top ending.
Adam Nevill is turning out to be my new favourite horror author loved apartment 16 and No one gets out alive.

I have read a lot of zombie apocalyptic books and this is one of my favorites the best being World War Z and The Reapers are the Angels.
I could hardly put it down, it flew by and I loved the horrible premise of how it was caused.
I also loved that it played out in a small town under quarantine.
A real fun ride.

Like others I am not sure how I feel about this book It was really engaging and I read it in 24 hours but it was repugnant and I now feel a bit dirty and ashamed. essentially it is a 4 but at times a 1 star book as i hated it while i read it, but had to know what would happen (a bit like David). It has opened my eyes to how malleable we are and how we can be lead or stumble down horrible paths until we turn around and the door to escape is locked.
I found this book terrifying.
