I found everyone so unlikeable and annoying, The protaganist was so stupid and frustrating. I normally really like Nicci Frenchs books but this one was a mess.

2 and a half stars rounded up, it's a fast read but at points is too ridiculous and unbelievable.

This author is not for me, my second book from them, it's advertised as horror but is more like Chick-lit. Not bad writing/story just not my thing.

I really struggled with the writing style and found myself having to reread sections as I found it hard to go in. I nearly DNF but perservered but not for me but not really a reflection on the story just the writing style was not for me.

2.5 I didn't like the format, the story is all laid out in scripts and emails and text messages which I found annoying and it slowed the story down. The story itself was good but will avoid anything else with a similar gimmick..

Enjoyable but stressful thriller, but the protagonist makes so many terrible decisions and is so oblivious - its irritating.

I think I am done with this series, is too much of a soap opera.

Enjoyable but the plot is insane

Absolutely devastating, Constant feeling of dread, brilliant and original, it will stay with me.

Struggled with the beginning as they are all so annoying but I really enjoyed the last third good survivalist horror, not for the squeamish.

Well written and I cant say its not a good book but it was so grim and depressing It felt like an endurance test and I felt really depressed after, not the ideal read in these times!

Brilliant and devastating true story, should be more widely known to show the real perils or uncontrolled corporations and capitalism.

How often can Gwen put her children in terrible danger?
Still a very enjoyable fast exciting read.

Not for me, too much banter and police politics, also found most characters annoying or completely unlikable.

I love this series, am flying through it

Really disappointing more like fanfiction.
