4.5/5 Probably the quickest I've downed 300 pages before. Very entertaining read.

The ending didn't really go anywhere. I'm guessing my lack of religious knowledge has me missing some symbolism being this is apparently a retelling of Cain and Abel.

Still an excellent book, I just thought the ending would have been more grand, tied up more story lines.

This book is a great example of why I shouldn't pay attention to goodread ratings on a book. A genre I've never liked, a YA novel at that, and it was a very enjoyable book.

Had some, albeit small for me, great points and moments in it. If I were a younger female who once had a drinking problem it may have resonated more. Also the author's apparent tone deafness to their privileged upbringing sort of made another wedge between me and the book. Quick enough memoir to get through. 2.5/5

Quick easy read. almost like the last two chapters of a good book. missing the build, but dropped into the action. I'm okay with it.
