4.5/5 Probably the quickest I've downed 300 pages before. Very entertaining read.

The ending didn't really go anywhere. I'm guessing my lack of religious knowledge has me missing some symbolism being this is apparently a retelling of Cain and Abel.

Still an excellent book, I just thought the ending would have been more grand, tied up more story lines.

4.25/5

This book is a great example of why I shouldn't pay attention to goodread ratings on a book. A genre I've never liked, a YA novel at that, and it was a very enjoyable book.

Maybe I'm just not one for academia themed books. I did enjoy the main character's uninhibited thoughts throughout the book, though many “male mindset” backed.

Read it in a day so I think I liked the podcast aspect. The main characters narration was amusing. The tense parts were pretty well written.

Id call this Lila Nash #1 instead of Joe Talbert #3. Joe had maybe a page of dialogue in the whole book. Over all good twisty path to the not completely obvious ending. 3.5/5 + .5 for the narrator and they're creepy lisp.

4.5/5 rounded up.

This book completely crushed me. I'm sure it's the fact I have a young son, whom I similarly to the father in the book have no idea if I'm doing anything correctly.

The end.... Whew.

4.5/5.

Could easily be a movie or miniseries in the future.
While the first 25% was reminiscent of many whodunnits the last 33% was a tour de force in twists and turns, and... unleveled ground.

3.75/5

Long winded, with minimal twist. I did enjoy but think I should have spaced murder mysteries apart.

3.75/5.
The twist was a decent twist.
The ending was far too compacted and fragmented.

Beautiful story of a scary time in US history. Wow.

Quick fun

A nice little slice of life book. Everyone has a story.

Oooph... hard read with a son under 2 years old. Overall a good story, just dripping in sadness.

3.5/5
Story telling is great, story itself... not completely for me.

Enjoyable twists. 4.5

Quick easy read. almost like the last two chapters of a good book. missing the build, but dropped into the action. I'm okay with it.
