I was initially going to give the book four stars, but I'm glad I let the ending resonate for a couple days.
The ending originally frustrated me. Though, the more I thought about it, the more I began to interpret things a little differently. In the end, I think this may be the perfect way to close this series.
Overall, this is easily the best book in the series. I need to reread Under the Northern Sky as a whole some day.
Alright before I get thrown into a dungeon for the three stars, let me defend myself. I really liked mistborn, I just wasn't a big fan of how things ended with the book. In fact, up into the last act, this would've been four stars. I just wasn't really a big fan of the way the Lord Ruler was dealt with, and his big reveal as a whole. I'm still confident I'll enjoy other MB books and Cosmere as a whole, however.
