A ton of emotions in this book. It’s a great way to go back in time and see how your grandparents lived and thought.

Fun, full of adventure. Crazy plot and good times. What’s not to love?

To my dying day I will continue to try and enjoy a Peter Straub book. I’m trying, Pete. I really am. This was average in plot and writing.

I didn’t think King would be able to pull off a fantasy but he did. A great plot, loved the side characters and of course, King’s special way of storytelling.

Nope. A big nope. Watch the miniseries. Forget the book.

I need to read this again. It was odd but interesting. Maybe I wasn’t in the right place, mentally?

An interesting book. For some reason, it can feel relatable. A lost and lonely person needing a break in life. Sadly, the break came in a haunted car.

An emotional, beautifully written novel. This one pulled the heart strings.

I am a writer. This is my study guide. I read this book two or three times a year as a reminder on how to create people a reader would care about. To me, this is the greatest character driven novel I have ever read.

Lived up to its name. Outstanding all around. I liked it better than the movie.

Scary as hell and that’s all I’m saying about it.

This is the one that got me started. I was recovering from a broken leg and had not read a book in years. I was hooked with every story but most of all, I caught the reading bug.

Many people slammed this book because it didn’t feel complete. But to me that was the point. He wanted the reader to think and sometimes a little thinking is good for us.

King was at his best with this one. A fun plot and the people. I just cared so much for them.

One of the earliest King books I read. His ability to create believable characters will always impress me, no matter how zany they are.

Hilarious and I was not expecting that. To be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect. This was a fun plot and a fun cast of characters.

I bought this out of curiosity. This is not my type of read. I gave it three stars for the quality of the writing.

My favorite Grisham book. A strong plot and equally strong characters. One of those rare reads where every chapter held its own.

The book, the movie, are you kidding me!!?? A nightmare between the pages. Just….just freaking great!!!

This one fell flat. I thought the story was half told and the characters half written.

It felt like he was playing around with an idea but unsure if it would work or not. I’ve read it twice and I’m still not sold on it.

I wanted to like it more than I did. It left me feeling empty and I’m not sure why?

Since the pandemic, I think we can all agree this book has taken on a whole new meaning.

Years ago I loaned this book to a coworker. It upset her so much she threw it across the street and scared her neighbors dog. Yes. It’s that good.

One of the most clever written books ever. I love Maria Semple’s style. This is a funny and touching story.
