Why this book?
Ever since a third-grade teacher read Matilda to me, this has been my most cherished book. It's heartwarming and inspiring with a touch of magic. It teaches us the reader that there are not strange, that their passion is valid and they are loved. It showcases characters with good hearts overcoming the bad in their lives through love and acceptance. No book means more to me than this one.

A very close second is Howl's Moving Castle, a funny and whimsical adventure with the most lovable batch of characters you'll ever read about. This story is so feel-good, I can't help but smile every single time I read it. Endearing protagonists, a charming world, and everything that makes me feel so happy inside.

Why this book?
As blasphemous as this might be to say, I've never been the biggest fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. My love instead goes to the Hobbit. Another humorous adventure with a touch of whimsy but develops into a dramatic climax.

Why this book?
Very few books have had the privilege of making me laugh out loud. This is one of the few that's managed. Incredibly hilarious, an absurd story that somehow manages to be relatable at the same time. I still think about lines from this book and smile from them.

Why this book?
I never thought a book about rabbits escaping their burrow to find a new home would be home to such a dramatic journey. It really is an epic story, just told through the viewpoint of rabbits. It includes their own mythology which is incredible to read.
