I'm updating my review as it is a chunk of a adventure just in this one book but wow what a journey and character set and world altogether. It was just so much to take in but bravo to sanderson on his craft and the massive world he has created with this intro of this series. I am very excited to see where this series goes and they are thick thick books but I'm here for it. It took me so long to get through this book but appreciate the process. I am less intimidated by the remainder of this series and continuing with the massive fantasy series i have. Definitely recommend this one especially if you love epic battles and character sets that leave a lasting mark and the world building over all. just chefs kiss.

I liked it but I got extremely fatigued 35% of the way through with all the detail that was in this one. I loved the world, the magic system and Shallan's character but the other parts I was starting to get bored with this audiobook. I think for the future books in this series I will read along. I'm definitely on board for this series but I'm not eager to pick up the next as that 48hr audiobook was a doozy... I felt the same way about Game of Thrones and it gave me similar vibes of the first in the game of thrones series but the magic and world was more interesting to me.

i liked it but i felt a lot took place in this book and it took a while to get to it. I really do like where the story is leading and looking forward to the final book of the series. Still loving the magic system and the honestly loving the gods in this too. Definitely excited for the final book.
