Library hold expired. Twice. Really want to actually read this one.

I hated reading this- which is why it took me such a long time to finish the audiobook- but it was strangely compelling even though I didn't care, didn't know what was happening, still don't know what happened and still don't care. I never want to hear the word “control” again. The whipping girl concept should have been more interesting than it was.

It's the sort of book to reflect on and was almost claustrophobically intense.

Wow. I don't even know how to describe this book. One of the most difficult, confusing and interesting things I've read this year. But I can't describe it.

Didn't care about the characters and the plot didn't engage me.
