I have to admit it took me a while to get into this book but after the first few chapters, I was hooked. In a lot of the reviews, people said they didn't like the writing style but it didn't bother me at all, on the contrary I found I rather liked it. Even the use of footnotes, although strange at first, I grew to like. I've never read a fantasy book that uses footnotes before so it was interesting to have them in this one. I thought the plot was good with some nice twists. The characters were also quite nicely rounded and I understood the motives behind what they did. Whenever I wasn't reading Nevernight I found myself thinking about it and wanting to read it all the time. Maybe it's not for everyone but overall I really enjoyed it.
I can't help but be a little biased—I love Cardan! This entire series is just brimming with enchanting, magical vibes. I was completely enthralled by this book and can't get enough of the dynamic between Cardan and Jude. I'll devour any and every story that features these two!
Very interesting book and as someone who VERY easily gets bored of statistics and economics this book was a joy to read. I wouldn't take everything in Freakonomics as fact and I will definitely be doing some further reading (I would suggest you do too if you read this book) on topics mentioned in it. In all, I found that this book kept me entertained and I was never bored. It gives a lot of food for thought and I have had a lot of interesting conversations at social gatherings discussing some of the topics in this book. If you want something fun and informative to read I highly suggest this book.
Started reading this and saw someone on TikTok say you should listen to the audiobook and... just listen to the audiobook, it's hilarious!
