It's been a long since I binge-read a book in the middle of the night. A perfect cure for my reading slump, with some flaws and some cringe worth dialogues but entertaining nonetheless

This book is not a happy one, but it has some very important messages about friendship, family, the education system, choosing your path in life, the over performative culture etc.
I loved that there was no romance in the center of the story and it also had great representation (gay/bi/demi). Just be careful, because it can be very triggering (suicidal thoughts, depression, mental abuse, family abuse

I'm a huge fan of the author and always wait for the new episodes each and every Sunday. So to finally have this masterpiece in my hands is quite amazing

This wasn't at all what I was expecting. The first half of the book was quite interesting, but then the author decided to focus solely on her odd love interest, with a weird amount of details about each and every conversation they had.
I guess it just wasn't my jam.

Funny, informative and perfect as an autumnal non fiction read

An easy cosy mystery with some faults (a cliffhanger every chapter is a bit too much for my taste

Easy light fantasy, with a romance at its core and a high focus only on the two main protagonists.
Not the most memorable adventure, but perfect for the transition from summer to autumn, with some beautiful visual descriptions

Not mindblowing, yet a good starting point if you think that a bit more mindfulness can only improve your life

A creepy and a bit gruesome read, perfect for the spooky season.
Looking at the reviews I think that I'll consider it a standalone =P

Still love the worldbuilding but caring less and less for the main protagonists. Plus I absolutely hate the romantic relationship in this series: toxic and with no real foundation.

A powerful memoir. Definitely triggering for a lot of reasons, yet important to be read.

50 short and sweet biographies of amazing and inspiring women, who still have somethings to teach us, even after centuries in some cases (full review soon on my YT channel)

This trilogy of graphic novels is an absolute gem <3
It's warm and nostalgic, beautiful and lovely and I will cherish it forever

A lovely graphic novel about the magic of childhood and the beauty of growing up, all mixed together with nostalgic and warm colours. A great read for both children, teens and adults (you'll probably find a different meaning in it according to your age)

Such a nostalgic yet happy experience, really makes me think about Princess Diaries (only with an 18yo girl)

I wasn't a huge fan of the narrator (listened to the audiobook).
The story is easy and very predictable, but it was lovely to see some different magical creatures. I would have loved more world-building

This series messed with my poor little heart. I knew I had to stop at vol.8 and pretend it ended there. Now I crave more xD

Piccole pillole con grandi spunti di riflessione. Da condividere con donne e uomini.

This is a fictional retelling of Umm Kulthum's life as seen by the eyes of one of her most beloved poets, Ahmed Rami. It's the story of her success as a singer, the story of Egypt as a country that was searching for its voice, the story of an (almost) unrequited love, the story of an obsession, and the story of passion for arts ...all skillfully mixed together. The Italian edition has some flaws due to poor editing and I cannot judge the accuracy of the translation, but still, this was a rich and soulful read (even if not a happy or light one)

This book is a great starting point for a lot of relevant discussions about racism, divorce and police brutality...all in a very accessible middle-grade story. It can be a perfect book to read in class or as a book club book.
It allows you to see and feel through the eyes and mind of a young biracial American girl of 11 years old.
The downside of this book is that it starts a lot of discussions, but the topics are not thoroughly discussed by the end of the story, leaving it up to the reader to get to the missing answers and to explore in-depth all of the main themes.

The illustrations in this book are so lovely that I hope to be able to own a physical copy in the future.
It's an atmospheric and lovely fairytale for all ages.

Wasn't a fan :( I had high hopes, but unfortunately, I felt no connection to any of the characters and the majority of their decisions were absolutely random. Probably I would have enjoyed it more if it was shorter, with no verses, and with a less anti-climatic ending.

A heartwarming story about family and belonging
