I think that it's quite unfair to rate an autobiography, since it describes personal experience and life. The only thing that I may tell is that it's an important read for both men and women because it really gives you a clear idea of what was done in order to obtain what we consider normal nowadays in western countries.
Listened to it as audiobook
The audiobook form was absolutely perfect for this kind of story. Very dynamic and immersive. You may vividly see all the settings and fill in the missing info with just a bit of imagination. Hope that the next two books will not disappoint (btw you may actually read it as a standalone, even if it end with a bit of a cliffhanger)
An enjoyable collection of stories. The audiobook was narrated by Neil Gaiman himself, so it was a lovely touch. Unfortunately it only felt as a collection of short stories to me and not as something organic that made me feel for the characters. However Thor and Loki were hilarious xD

A nice debut story, I loved the fact that it's a standalone. The premise was fascinating with its historical background and some characters who were real people in that historical period. The story was fast paced and had its moments of tension. The author wasn't afraid to kill off characters, but unfortunately I wasn't so attached to them to feel real emotional pain.
I wasn't a fan of the male voice in the audiobook (but that's totally up to personal taste). Plus I was a bit disappointed when the central romance started to bloom. This book was more than ok without it and needed no couple just for the sake of it. Without it my rating probably would have been 4 full stars.
One thing that really bothered me was the lack of resolution during some major quarrels among characters. Only a couple of them had a proper ending, while the majority ended with a lot of untold emotions and lack of proper replies.
That took me long. I was almost DNFing this series, but fortunately, I decided to finish it. The ending was overall satisfying, even if leaves some unsolved questions and unfinished scenes. The reason why I would recommend this series to readers because it is really low fantasy and has a unique atmosphere that may appeal to both male and female readers. So if you want something a bit magical but still deeply rooted into our world/time than that's a book for you.

It's a children's book that has not managed to make me feel connected with or invested in the characters. However I can see how it can be highly entertaining both for young readers and for parents reading the story to them. The thing that I really appreciated was the beauty of the language. The Italian translation was simply amazing.
It's an easy story that has the pure purpose of entertaining. The references to Irish mythology were lovely and the description of the setting quite realistic.
