This is longer than some of Nora's other books and very much could have been wrapped up quicker but I'm pleased it wasn't. The story taking its time means we get to watch the characters grow up. We're with them in joy and in sadness (parts had me in tears) and this book really has it all with lovely slice of life moments, romance and murder mystery. I thought I would absolutely love this book as I'm very much the target audience and it's a genre I absolutely love. Unfortunately it's full of woefully underdeveloped characters and a main character who is completely insufferable for a lot of the book.
