deducting a bit because of all the hp mentions..

Perfect for those of us who grew up on Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys and Agatha Christie 😊

I truly love Silas

This was so hard to read :( These characters are all flawed and broken by life's merciless cogs.

if you didn't love the execution of the short story because of all the unanswered questions but you liked her writing style then still pick this up. This proved to me that Ellis does long form best.

Overall a lovely story, however, there was only one particular character whose story interested me so I was counting the minutes until I got back there. I can see this being an affirming book for younger queer readers.

3.5 but rounding up to 4

aaah so cute

Such a perfect end to this terrifyingly beautiful trilogy

“Life is one per customer”. Paris 💔

These sisters have the most complicated relationship but at the end of the day, it's all love.

Idk who I expected to be the big bad in this one, but I t should've been obvious with all the mentions of religion and the pastor. I didn't expect him to have tried to kill his daughter either! Although, it makes sense with how warped his sense of morality was. I really liked the twist of Kasey being dead and resurrected through her connection with the bracelet. Overall an interesting read.

Looking forward to more by Lily.

The ending made me so emotional 💔

This collection doesn't shy away from the harsh realities that immigrants face when navigating their new homes. The unbridled racism, unwarranted fear and overall harsh treatment. My personal favourites in the collection: Medallion, Mekonnen, Kind Stranger and A Down Home Meal. However, Sinkholes will be the story that sticks with me the most out of all of them.

These stories are not easy to stomach, but that doesn't make them any less beautiful.

Perfect for fans of coming of age/second chance romances.

worst Sager to date. omg

I have ONE question. How long do I have to wait until book 2 is out?????

Okay. Here are my thoughts. Roseanna A. Brown is ridiculously good at what she does. How does she make someone want both the opposing sides to win? Like...somebody hasss to lose where power struggles and life and death are concerned, yet, there I was routing for Malik and Karina to both get what they wanted. I bought into their struggles, I empathized with their stories. How is that possible? And then the way it ended? With so many possibilities. Brilliant!

Everyone should read this. It's a book that creeps into your heart and you should let it.

This one broke me much more than Before the Coffee Gets Cold, and that's saying something!

Definitely continuing this series

3.5

My brain is mush.

All I have to say is SpoilerLehabah noooooo! But good for her going out the way she's always imagined herself to be - a full on hero.

I almost lost hope and had to talk my way through towards the end because Spoilerhow could Hunt?! But then, redemption! And then the snippet of Danika and the rest of the pack.

Definitely looking out for the next book for sure. I want to see how they're going to rebuild after all the destruction at the end.

So much hype...and I'm left feeling meh...

Didn't hate it...didn't find a new favorite either.

So riddle me this, is this series worth continuing?

Noooo. That ending hurts. I must get the next one immediately because... I have a theory Spoiler that them not finding Gideon's body and Harrow saying that all she hears is silence means that Gideon isn't really dead. Because I really like their dynamic. They play off of each other so well. I need her to not be dead I want to be true. If it's not I'll crumble into ash and die

Goodreads glitched so adding this a day late

This has been a study in irony
