Disappointing — to say the least!
The setup was good and all, but the ending? They really fumbled it. It felt like going through all that buildup only to be told, “a random cat in the neighborhood did it.” Even the middle part felt dragged on for little too long, further injured by a poor conclusion.
The Murder of Roger Ackroyd -3.5/5
[Warning-RANT]
I've had the misfortune of having the plot spoiled on Reddit. I found myself pissed throughout the entire read , but I still liked how everything unfolded and revealed. I could only wish that i had experienced the plot twist and the accompanying mind blown moment first hand -if not for that goddamned idiot.
Hercule Poirot's Christmas - 3.5/5
I'm conflicted about my rating. Overall, it was a good book that I enjoyed reading. However, I was extremely disappointed with the ending. I feel that Christie cheated on this one. One of the unwritten rules in whodunnit stories is that there are suspects, clues, red herrings, and the reader has a fair chance to piece together the puzzle, even if it is minimal. This is a bit of vague spoiler, but the culprit isn't even one of the original suspects. The culprit comes out of nowhere. In this novel, Poirot converses with his suspects and analyzes the facts of the case, but ultimately, it is found out that the neighbouring cat was the murderer.
Despite all this, I still found it enjoyable reading , and it's also worth mentioning that the method of crime featured here is very ingenious and clever.
Alloy of law-4/5
Back to Mistborn and I must say I really enjoyed reading it.The new characters are well written and Wayne quickly became one of my favourites.I liked the light hearted approach to begin with, following a tense Era 1.The little tweaks to the magic system were also interesting-Twinborn and it's various combinations.Miles's abilities were fascinating and he does make a worthy villain.
The only con I can think of is that,I am weeny bit disappointed that Sazed / Harmony playing favourites and sending Ironeyes /Death to deliver some sort of book and all.
Plot armour is a thing but you have to be little subtle about it.
My rating -3.5/5
One of the book's/this series strength is regularly switching the point of view into other characters , even into minor characters. The plot was not bad, okayish. It misses the tense and mysterious vibe the previous novel had .Stieg Larson's weird but unique style of writing saves it.
Cons I can think of
The story could be done,a little 50-70 pages earlier had they removed the pointless drama at the beginning which also added nothing to the plot.
Obviously, the author had made Salander character more self righteous which was annoying sometimes
My rating- 3.25/5.
A bit boring for a finale
Series review- 3/5

The Last Olympilan-3.25/5
The series is fine but nothing spectacular imo. Got to know some Greek stuff ig. The jokes and humour are well written. Slightly over unrealistic scenes even for the Pj world. I know there is a another series based on PJ but i don't think I'll read it. See you then bye!
This book rating -2/5, Series rating -3/5
Okay, I'm gonna stop the series here. But first the positive sides,It has a really unique storyline and I really enjoyed reading especially Vol 1,2,6 and 7 .Some were mehish or outright boring. The series had it's shortcomings here and there but became more so after L's death that i had to force myself to read the last three monotonous books. I think what will happen next and I'm gonna check out the plot of the remaining ones in Internet.
My rating -3.25/5
A book of hits and misses(mostly misses). The book starts off with three bangers apt for the novel name but then gradually goes little dull/meh by usual SH std's

The book explores a new approach in storytelling. Usually the reader awaits what happened at the end? Who dunnit? etc but here the narrator Death who is omnipresent reveals the spoiler at the beginning so the reader awaits rather how it happened?,ie the process. To this method to work the writing and characters should be strong and loveable which the author in-overall
succeeds.
