See allThis is the first book by this author I've read and I absolutely love her voice. She's one of those writers that has such a seamless flow to her prose that you forget you're reading, you just get swept away in the story. The plot and pacing were good. The characters are engaging and have their own distinctive voice. All together a good book and I hope we get the next one soon.
Thank you
I came across this author on YouTube while looking into using ai as an aid to structure writing. I'm so glad I found this book, I've not tried using any of the prompts myself yet but have seen them used very effectively on YouTube. This is everything you need to map out your story using ai.
I haven't heard much about this book, it popped up on my KU recommendations so gave it a try. I'm glad I did. I flew through this book, the writing style makes this an easy read (though I wasn't a fan of the way the book has been formatted with a break between each paragraph).
The premise intrigued me. In this world magic is outlawed, those people with magical abilities are chipped to prevent them from using it, if they survive this process (and many don't) they are then sent to re-education centres. This story follows a magic user who finds other people who have magic and smuggles them out of the city where they will be safe. I won't give away too many spoilers but our main character falls in love with the woman he is trying to save (yes there is spice 🌶️).
This book could have used a last pass with an editor, missing punctuation here and there and small details are inconsistent now and then, but none of that spoiled this book for me, I read it in 3 days (yes I did have others things I should have been doing 😉).
I enjoyed this book and will be reading the next one. ❤️
