I picked this book up in an airport for something to read on the plane. It was a story I'd never heard before and it is quite unbelievable. The author getting into the mind of a killer and navigating that relationship was really interesting and awkward.

I tried to get through this for over a month and kept putting it off because I couldn't face picking it up. It felt like work. The lack of punctuation made it more difficult to follow than it had to be. The concept is cool and the violence didn't spook me in the way it seems to have for other readers, but it just got so repetitive - killing enemies, reaching a town, wrecking the town, riding out into the expanse, and again, and again, and again.

Easily the scariest thing I've ever tried to wrap my head around. I actually felt heartbreak at the end when I thought about how quickly things can escalate and how much confusion there can be between governments. The book completely breaks any illusion that the people who lead us have any idea what they're doing.

I'm relatively new to reading books regularly so I'm relying on Booktok for suggestions. This was one of them. It was fine. It was bit like the premise of the story - it doesn't go anywhere that interesting.

Once I saw the trailer for the film, I had to read this. Enjoyed every second of it. Would like to go for a drink with Rocky. I'm not sure how that would work, but I know it would be cool.

Wanted to read it because I thought it would be a bit more gossipy. Although it wasn't what I was expecting, I really enjoyed learning more about behind the scenes in Irish politics.
