Easily the scariest thing I've ever tried to wrap my head around. I actually felt heartbreak at the end when I thought about how quickly things can escalate and how much confusion there can be between governments. The book completely breaks any illusion that the people who lead us have any idea what they're doing.
I tried to get through this for over a month and kept putting it off because I couldn't face picking it up. It felt like work. The lack of punctuation made it more difficult to follow than it had to be. The concept is cool and the violence didn't spook me in the way it seems to have for other readers, but it just got so repetitive - killing enemies, reaching a town, wrecking the town, riding out into the expanse, and again, and again, and again.
