Interesting read. I have thought a lot about these ideas in regard to an individual , but to think about how it affects culture as a whole was a new idea to me. A little drawn out and repetitive, but worth the time I think.

So sad I missed this on my first read-through of the series.

I picked this book up because I was, in a very typically Alex fashion, looking for some practical life-hack system for deeper growth. It was of course, not at all what I was looking for, but was much more of what I needed in my search. A kind, straightforward reminder that growth in the Christian walk starts and ends with Christ. “The message of this book is that THE way we grow is receiving the heartful love of Jesus. The gospel of grace not only gets us in but moves us along.”
