DNF @50%. Not interesting enough for me to want to continue to pick it up. One great scene by 50% mark. Somehow convoluted storytelling, characters are not interesting. And the way it's told is not intriguing me enough.

Surprised that did not enjoy this by Ishiguro. He is bit of a hit or miss for me. But I didn't like the characters, the plot nor the world.
It was just really boring. Read until abt 160 pages and then skimmed to the end. There was no huge twist or surprise that would've blown my socks of that would paid off the tedious plot building and characters that really did not land for me. The way it teases about possible major plot reveal throughout without dripping any solid hints about the world is super frustrating. Day to day mundane things can be enjoyable done in the right way but here it absolutely does not work.
