Overall I enjoyed this book and this series. I feel like a lot of people compare books 2 & 3 to the first and I can see why. I wish Hendrix's story felt like it had as much as Yasmen's did so I could connect a bit more. Overall enjoyed it but not sure I would rush to read books 2 or 3 if they weren't apart of the series.

Learning the purpose of life, what it means to be human and how to be a human after being robbed of everything that makes you, you.
Simple premise but still impactful. You definitely end with more questions than answers. I went in with little to no context but I somewhat went into this expecting a different outcome but this ending was more thought provoking for me and that is something I appreciate.
I've attempted to read this a few times and finally made it to the end. I love the idea of this book and I think that's why I kept coming back, as a traveler myself it felt relatable to some degree. But for me it was a bit too slow, there were definitely interesting parts but the story itself felt drawn out more than necessary so the excitement I had about the premise of the book was definitely gone by the end of it. I really just wanted to finish because I made it so far already.
