I have absolutely adored this book. The writing style is very approachable and it never ever gets boring. I can't wait to start volume 2! Also, the audiobook is a masterpiece!

I've just finished reading this book and I'm speechless. I loved every bit of it. I must admit I was a bit wary when I started reading it because everyone says it's so sad. It is sad, that's true, but not to the point that you're crying the whole time (I only shed a tear twice). All in all, this book was an absolute joy to read and I'm pretty sure I'll read the whole Realm of the Elderlings saga in time.

I really enjoyed the “Shades of Magic” trilogy, but it gets even better here. I can't wait for more books in this world :)

I've been putting off reading this book because the author seems to have no plans to finish the series. However, I am so glad I finally read it. It's very nice to end the year in such a high note :) This is the best book I've ever read.

Interesting start to the series...

I was very excited at the beginning of the book, as the premise is fantastic in my opinion, however, about 60ish percent in, I kind of got bored. For some reason, the aranea failed to grab my interest. I will continue with the series, as I've already purchased all four ebooks and audiobooks, but I hope it gets better in future instalments.
