This book was more evenly paced, which I was pleased about but it felt like a slower pace than a "medium" pace. There were a lot of side stories and trials and tribulations which I can tell affects the storyline but I'm not sure how much of it was needed truthfully - and honestly it took me off the main focus sometimes but I am hoping everything ties up nicely in the end book.

Definitely less "action-packed" than the last book, and while the book focused more on the character growth of Simon and touched a little on Clary and Jace and their relationship and struggles, I feel like it fell short in many ways of such a big build and it was the last page of when something ended up happening.. Definitely will continue the series because I'm invested now, but hope there's a little more happening in the last two books than this one.
Definitely worth the read. A lot of characters but they were slowly introduced and the connections that build throughout the story are beautiful. The ending had a nice tie together, although I wish parts didn't feel so "rushed" but it was an amazing book on humanity and how different acts can bring people together for the better.
Everyone needs a Marcellus in their life.
"Why can humans not use their millions of words to simply tell one another what they desire?" Remarkably Bright Creatures
This was my first read by Rick Riordan and I have to say this was amazing. The way it was layed out always at the edge of my seat waiting for the next adventure... Sadie had wit and sarcasm that had me rolling. Very much reminded me of responses I would have said.
My favourite character that I visualize in my head... Philip of Macedonia and Khufu.
