The first two books in the collection are decent, but save yourselves some time and don't read the rest. To say is was a struggle to finish would be an understatement.

Save your time.  Not a patch off the first book and the romance plot is just delusional

Its ok, but but it becomes clear very quickly that all problems will be solved - so there's no real feeling of jeopardy.

And Grace's relationship with rocky beggars belief. Adrian Tchaikovsky's Children of Time and the film Arrival do a much better job of first contact communication

Very deep and thought provoking.  Asks interesting questions.
