See allThis definitely isn't something I would usually read but read it for a book club. I didn't love a lot of the cheesy lines and cheesy things that happened but I did really love the main characters and found myself rooting for them towards the end. If someone likes simple quick cheesy romances, I would highly recommend this one.
Tied as my new favorite book. The writing was so engaging and the story completely unpredictable. Macabre. Horrific. Gruesome. Deep family ties. Found family. Cults. Everything morally gray. It's not something I would recommend for anyone due to so many trigger warnings, but if horror or occult is your thing, this is just addicting.
I'm not a huge fan of biographies, art, or music. I didn't even know who Yoko Ono was. But, I read this for a book club and it was such a great experience! David Sheff's writing and story telling kept my entertained and surprised throughout the book. There were so many thoughtful moments and a lot of interesting history with themes of feminism, racism, and family. Highly recommend to anyone!
