11 Books
See allI accidentally read this book in 24 hours. The first foundation book I thought was very dull.
It was a collection of short stories not connected and was a little bit boring however it peaked my interest after I read the other book series I robot which was another collection of short stories and gave it another go and read foundation of Empire, I thought that book was pretty good because it had a continuous story and it gripped me to finish the trilogy with second foundation.
Once I started it, I could not stop. I thought it was fantastic. It's answered all the questions I had in the other two books but has left 1 million more questions I have for the other books, six books remain and I hopefully will understand everything before I start the Apple TV show.
Can't figure out how to give it 3.9 stars out of five. I don't think I'm the target audience for this book or this genre. I primarily read sci-fi but I saw this on TikTok gave it a go and I thought it was alright. It was a bit slow...sorry it was very slow at the beginning but it picked up and started worldbuilding and I got fairly interested. It was pretty much a beauty and the beast retelling for about 2/3 of the way but afterwards it was fantastic.
I listen to the audiobook as well. Thought I'd give that a go. It was very slow, slower than reading it at the beginning. I had to put it at 1.5 to 1.6 times the speed, but I'm gonna read another book, in the meantime and then I think I will read the second book in the series. Also, it wasn't super spicy as I thought it was going to be as all the women on TikTok had raged about...maybe it will be a bit more spicy in the later books but didn't have the smoochy smoochy Kissy Kissy vibes I thought it was going to have
