I read this book back in 2020 and I still think about it to this day. Although, in my opinion, it isn't Stephen King's best book, it is certainly one of my favourites and was an amazing book to introduce myself to his writing. The book starts off slow, however once it picks up, it becomes a thrilling and suspenseful read. The ending was relatively cute, although not my personal favourite ending. Overall, it is an amazing book and I'd read it again.
I don't even remember this book outside of the terrible decisions the main character made. The twists was predicable. Not a life changing read
This book is truly one of the most visceral pieces of literature I've ever read which really wasn't done well. The writing was mediocre and so was the storyline. The whole story felt unfinished and rough. Not worth the read. It's the book version of a movie trying to get cheap scares with jump scares. It generates cheap feelings of disgust by detailing disturbing acts. Not good!
