I attempted this book a few times and couldn't get past a couple of parts involving children being hurt. I don't love not being able to finish something and I figured with the good reviews, if I could get past the rough parts it would have an ending that redeems itself. I stand corrected

I spent the majority of this book glossing over words and trying to piece together what was happening without getting too many visually assaulting images in my head. I didn't necessarily consider myself as having a weak stomach before this, but this took the cake. I mean, it's nasty! An absolutely wretched sex scene
