Life changing. This book opened my eyes to foundational concepts I wasn't conscious of. I believe every Christian should read this book–but only of they're willing to examine their lives and see them changed.
Beth Moore is not only a great writer but she's a woman with a message worth hearing. I highly recommend the audio book, which is read by her, Arkansas accent and all!
While her story is marked with trauma and turmoil, her tenacious faith, grit, and zeal, along with God's fingerprints, are a testimony. And in a time when the Church needs testimonies of steadfastness and faithfulness, Beth's well-written, vulnerable, honest retelling of the chapters of her life are refreshing.
Pendragon's Heir is an engaging read for lovers of classics and fantasy alike. Suzannah Rowntree has skillfully captured a voice true to a retelling of the Arthurian legend while incorporating a new, intricate plot and likable characters. I have loved the Arthurian legend since I was a pre-teen and have read some great adaptations, but Pendragon's Heir, with its unique premise and memorable characters, is my new favorite.
The Eternity Gate is a must-read for anyone who loves fantasy novels that are more than interesting plots and settings. Katherine Briggs is a deep, thoughtful author who cares about the soul of the story as much as those reading it. I'm looking forward to seeing what she does in the sequel, the Immortal Abyss.
