Pretty good and weirdly relatable at times

Pretty fantastic volume here, not only does it have the peak of the katana man arc it also has the begining of the (second) best arc in the series, all around just amazing and where this series really becomes something special

This is one of the best manga volumes ever, straight up, we have the beautiful beginning with Denji and Power showing just how much they've changed throughout the story, then everything with Aki showing how much he's grown towards Denji and Power before taking him away from us in what is one of the most upsetting character deaths of all time in my opinion, his death is tragic and brutal and makes for some of the best panels in the entire series

The start is pretty good but nothing compared to what comes after

I'll never forget you

The international assassin's arc is one of the weaker arcs in my opinion and this is by far the worst section of it

A beautiful end to what is a beautiful arc with part 1 of Chainsaw Man concluding here

I know Himeno gets a lot of hate but I personally like her quite a bit and was sad to see her go so soon

As Punpun grows older things only get darker and darker and this is where that REALLY begins imo, starting out with one of the most disgusting scenes in the series with Punpun being sexually assaulted, and then having one of the most strange and stiff endings in the series with the death of his mother, this is just a absolute masterpiece

Uncle Yuichi IS a top 5 Punpun character

I don't even love part 2 but Asa is a pretty great character in my opinion

Pretty great starting to my favorite manga

Probably the weakest volume in the series with what's by far the worst arc in the series on the bat devil arc which I personally really don't like, there's still some decent character development here and introduction to some of my favorite characters in the series

We all know how amazing the reze arc is

And then it all goes to shit

I like part 2, not as much as part 1 but there are some pretty good volumes here, this being one of them

I mean it is the best of the International Assassin's arc but still thats not saying much

The only time Punpun was a (almost) decent person

While I don't hate the boat this is probably the worst section of it

The boat is NOWHERE near as bad as people described it to me

This some crazy shit

This book fucking sucked major ass

The main character is literally a fictional version of an Elon Musk fanboy who spends all day on Twitter, the book not once mentions how fucking sad it is that in this reality people would rather be in a fictional world than a real one, like this literally had a perfect opportunity for some pretty good real world commentary but nope it just decides that it wants to spend all of it's time on stupid 80's references and some incel ass inner monologue about jerking off, real amazing book here. The characters are written incredibly poor with a lot of fake deep type material with the character Aech attempting to make comentary on gay people and womens treatment in society but never explains what that treatment is just stupid vague illusions to it, the romance is also ass and just really really basic.

Overall I despise this garbage book, I don't understand why so many people enjoy it, and also fun fact, a movie was planned before the book even came out so you can't use the shitty argument that if it was so bad why'd it get a movie doesn't work here, good idea horrible execution

Another series peak here, right next to the end 🥹🥹🥹 everything in the mind scape is brilliant but I find the stuff with Guts reflecting on the journey here to actually be the most impactful, just a all around fantastic volume

Rest in piece to one of if not the best manga author of all time
