Once I hit the button for 1.6x speed, I realized I should just stop instead of just trying to get through it. There's a lot that is interesting in this book, as well as writing I thought was wonderful. For some reason, though, trying to get through it was a slog. Stopped in the middle of Part 15 (out of 22).

This was very dialogue-heavy, which probably means I should have read it instead of listened to it. My mind wandered a lot, and I found it tedious to keep track of who was talking and what they were talking about.

pointless

Probably would be a 3, but a disturbing scene and the way things happen afterwards left me not even sure I wanted to finish the book.
