I was a little worried that this would be just like the webcomic that it looks similar too, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it had an entirely different plot. Some of the dialogue felt forced in the ending chapters, but other than that, I liked it! The art was great, and the story made sense!
So, first of all, I read the audiobook edition of this, and Avi Roque is quickly becoming my favorite voice actor after Katherine Kelgren. So, Bravo Avi. Nobody else puts that much passion and pain into your dialogue.
Second of all, this book was incredible. It was painful and raw and real. I really enjoyed listening to it, and had just as many loud honest laughs as I had ‘probably shouldn't be crying while driving' moments. This is going on my favorites shelf.

I loved this book, though the ereading format made it a little difficult to see the pictures and the text side by side! I loved getting to see pictures and examples of people from different cultures, and the little bits of history to go with each identity!

I found this Sex-Ed guide to be very helpful and earnest, and I liked the stress on communication with yourself, your partner, and your parents. being co-written by a teen seems to have helped it stay modern, and the resources mentioned were good. Thanks!

I did like the plot of this one, but I found it a little difficult to keep up with the timeline! I rather hoped the past would be in one color and the present in another, but I was mistaken. That said, it was a lovely story about the struggles of living in a place and time where being gay is not allowed. The main character has some really realistic back and forth decisions to make regarding love, privacy, family, and friends.
I really enjoyed listening to this! The voice actors were great, the story was chilling and felt very natural. I will say to all, mind those trigger warnings at the front of the book. They do not mess around. Be mindful of things that distress you. None of the content bothered me, but I have a strong stomach!
Okay, this one was interesting. Plot definitely went too quickly, I would have preferred to see them flesh out the story a bit more. I think it's cool and interesting to include intersex characters, but I'm not sure about the Rep here used as sideshow level attraction? Gave me Fitz and the Fool vibes, but in an odd way. Over all, I'm not sure. I liked the art style. I wonder if some of the story was perhaps lost in translation.
