Kate Quinn (and authors) continue to wow me away. Historical fiction + Ancient Rome always a good time but maybe not for the people there. 5 ⭐

This was meant to be a retelling? Really? Seems more like a direct rip off and the only thing different was character names. The writing was flat, the characters were meh. 2.5 ⭐.

With elections just around the corner, this felt like a powerful read regarding women's rights, but I also liked the romance within. I enjoyed this though beware of some graphic violence towards women mentioned within this book. 5 ⭐

Ugh, I didn't like this as much as I wanted to. The cover is absolutely beautiful, but the story itself isn't my particular taste. I'm not really big on assassins to begin with but I thought with cats in the title this would be my kinda thing. Evidently...no. I'll try again later, but for now I'm swapping over to something else. 3.5 ⭐ rounded up for the cover.

A bit slow in parts, but this surprised me and I got sucked in so that I read this in two days flat. A fantastic start to a trilogy that I hope to physically buy and add to my favorites shelf. 4.5 ⭐

Started off strong but about halfway it was growing wildly inaccurate with history, and the characters read like a poor b rated movie. It wasn't bad it just wasn't to my taste. 3.5 ⭐

Hannah was a great character, but the men seemed hugely sexist, and the male mc was definitely not my speed. The writing was good, though I just didn't like most of the characters. Especially as the dad hired someone to SPY ON HIS DAUGHTER AS SHE'S HELPING HIM WITH ALS. And saying it's his fatherly duty looking after his daughter?
