The ending dragged on for far too long. Sarah was made out to be far more mysterious than she actually was and everything just became too predictable and I lost interest there in the last 20-ish pages.

Started out promising and the the last quarter of the book it became slightly comical. A drug for children that has a weird side effect of making them want to do chores?? There was almost no one to root for here and just a lot of people I hoped were the victim.

This was a slow burn sort of story with a painfully slow (but in a good way) ending. There were a few things that didn't make sense, like what happened to the trucks, but other than that it was good.

I really enjoyed the first half of the book but then something happened a little past the halfway point and I kind of lost some enthusiasm. I can’t put my finger on why. I still really liked it in the end, but I’m not sure, despite the cliffhanger ending, if I will read the next.
