Some Bright Nowhere

While I originally thought the book was going to be very sad, I appreciate that it instead focuses on the story of a family and friends and how they have to learn to live with Claire's unusual request.

I don't know that I could say that many of the characters in this book are likeable, but I don't think they're supposed to be likeable. People do unlikable things when they're under intense stress so it makes sense anyway that everyone is a mess. What matters to me is that I feel like I can find a piece of myself in each of the characters, and I can definitely do that here.

The book takes it's time ramping up the conflict, but it's worth getting to the end of it and I feel like I came away from it with a different perspective on the varied lives we all lead.

There's a lot that happens in the book that was unexpected so I don't want to spoil it for you, but just know the book's definitely worth your time.

Legends & Lattes

The worldbuilding in this book is great considering it's so short and is about an orc starting a coffee shop, I loved it. It's a wonderfully heart-warming book about going beyond people's expectations and finding your own path. Plus, the romance in this book is a slow burn, but very endearing and the author does a great job of building up the relationship between Tandry and Viv.

Would highly recommend if you're looking for a light cozy read that warms your heart. ❤️

The Lucky Ride

While a little cheesy and requiring little suspension of disbelief from the reader, this book filled me with hope. It's a nice reminder that often times, if you're putting in effort, things will work out - even if it's not in the way you expect it.
