Really fun and cute story - especially as it talked about places I know well or have visited! I love a vampire story but this was a bit different, there is no violence or anything like that. It's a story of a woman going to goth weekend at Whitby and expecting to be completely out of place, yet finding somewhere that fits in ways she didn't know she needed. It's honestly lovely and I recommend it as a warm and uplifting book about a vampire romance (a rare combination! Especially when it really works!)

A dark romance between a naive sheltered mafia princess who lives to dance ballet, and the russian accented Don who literally bumps into her. A dark mafia romance with two characters who felt fully rounded, but very stereotypical of the main characters you often see in dark romances. I didn't love this, the premise was there, but everything felt very typical. Despite the characters being consistant, this typicality kicked me out of my immersion. I am very aware that this may be some internal bias, as Romeo & Juliet is the one Shakespeare play I really don't like, but there were also a number of smaller plot holes that I don't want to go into detail with to prevent spoilers.

This wasn't a bad read, but it wasn't one I especially enjoyed.

Another superb addition to this series, and another reason that Katy has become an auto read author for me - the wit and humour of Discworld but with romance and emotion that is entirely Katy's own hallmark. Highly recommend!!
