14 years?! Sebastian has been yearning for her for 14 years?! 😭😭

Omg!! Sebastiannnnnn you delightfully brooding lover boy!!! I think he is officially tied with Vuk and Dante for me! 😳

Also. I see you Ana having Maya be a Scorpio (I think i caught that correctly, I could be drinking the Delulu Lemonade lmao). But anyway. Whooo taught Ms. Ana Huang our Scorpio secrets?! Because the way my girl Maya never told Seb the truth, ran from her feelings, her obsession with strawberries (I truly believe my blood is strawberry flavored), planned everything to a T (like announcing her relationship AFTER the frozen food line launch) and was a whole a$$ detective felt like I was being read for filth as a Scorpio 👀👀

So yeah. Ana Huang may not have had her facts straight about the Indian Hindu culture but she definitely has a Scorpio plug and I'm gonna need them to come to the front. The Scorpio Delegation would like a word. 👀😏

Absolutely adorable! A quick read and it made me want to get back into MMOs!

Holy plot twist! Such a great end to this series and I'm really sad its over. 😭 I absolutely loved the Jane Eyre vibes too. I could easily re-read this series. ✨️

This book broke me in the absolute worse way possible as a mother and then it put me back together.

As a mother I'm absolutely disgusted by Carmen Ricci's abuse to her own flesh and blood. What an absolute monster to break a child so young as 5 and then bring in people from church on the abuse?! 😭

I'll be honest. I almost DNF'd from the abuse despite it being off page. But then I thought about my sister who is granted not as evil to my niece as Carmen? But the jealousy is there. Then I thought about other children who have gone through the same thing as Ariana. So I wanted to continue with the story to understand SA survivors better and patiently wait for Ariana's revenge (which was absolutely satisfying to witness).

My parents aren't as toxic as Carmen and Rafael (the fact that he knew what Carmen was doing and did nothing to intervene though had my mouth on the floor) but I could relate to Ariana waiting on scraps of affection from both parents at times. Unfortunately. But especially from my dad.

Overall this book had:

1) Marriage of Convenience ✅️ 2) Virgin Hero ✅️ 3) Forced Proximity ✅️

So yes, I'll give this book a 5 🌟 rating because Ariana was able to be healed through love. Which is something I myself am living every single day. 🥰

Another 6 🌟 read for me

I am a simp for books with deep sibling connections. It really heals something in me since I have an irreparable broken relationship with my sister.

While the outcome for Cora x Lucien is absolutely heartbreaking. His speech about wanting it to end really cracked something within me. I dated an addict and before that experience I never really had sympathy or empathy for addicts. Since we have broken up though, I have been in recovery via Nar-Anon and it's changed my viewpoint on a lot of things regarding addiction.

Loved loved loved this book. Cora x Alistair's primal play in the woods and at the edge of a cliff was everythingggg 🫠 Wonder if Sav R. Miller took inspiration from that scene in "Rise of the Lycans" 👀👀

6 🌟 I'm surprised I'm saying this considering how heavy the SA plot was and the fact that it was orchestrated by someone so close to Lenny.

But her being absolutely murderous after her assault, to where is literallt just running around stabbing motherf*ckers (with a broken paint brush handle) to death whenever they got too close is such a delicious display of Feminine Rage for me 😏✨️

Couple that with our broody British hit man Jonas out there killing the men who had a hand in her assault in her honor? But waits for her to exact her revenge on the two brains of the op? *chef's kiss*

I wanna listen to this again!

Did not want to like this one but the twists and turns in the beginning and the end of the book satisfied me enough (the plot was plotting). I liked the process of liking Aiden in the beginning, watching him turn deranged and then come out clean on the other side.

I do not like that my gut told me something about a character and I ignored it until it was later confirmed. I need to start going with my instincts more 😅

I really enjoyed that this wasn't advertised as a retelling. While those are my favorite when it comes to Greek Mythology, I think loosely inspired by is equally entertaining.

I did NOT expect that little twist at the end though. I'm very excited to be continuing the series ✨️

The questions I had while listening to "P&P" about Elena and Kal are answered, for now. I'm now ready to dive back in to "P&P"💪🏾

I'm honestly so sad that I didn't read this when I first read the book in December 2024. But I found it now and oddly enough? It was a nice bit of closure for that story for me 😊

I originally wanted to put this book as a 3 🌟 because Harlym was beyond irritating. I had to remember that she was under 25 and that it tracked with her age. So I really had to give her grace.

The way she would go back and forth between being loved by Ashton and being abused by Cameron irked my soul and the blurb about her shaking her titties for a perverted/corrupt Corrections Officer had me interested so to never read that? Irked me lol

The way that Ashton and Harlym kept sleeping around on each other for no good reason? Irked me lol

But I really appreciated how far Jahquel J. went into the fact that Harlym had an eating disorder. This was a good take on the dark side of eating disorders that stem from mental health issues plus trauma from not being loved correctly.

So I feel like reading this book was a reminder of how I would be hot and cold to protect myself when I was newly dating my now fiancé. It was like someone help up a mirror and boy was it tough to see my reflection, even though Harlym is 23 in the book and I'm at my big age of 34.

If anything? This book had me rooting hardcore for Ashton and it was amazing to be on that side of reading novels for a change.

I also appreciated having Quan in the story as Ashton's best friend. Being emotionally intelligent and being aware of your mental health struggles needs to be talked about more within the Black Community and it was greatly appreciated to read about it so openly.

Like I said! Charlie and Xavier were definitely going to be the most dynamic and interesting of the 3 couples! And boy did THEY and THE PLOT deliver!

6 🌟

The way these two had me hackling like a psycho as she kneed him in the balls and pointed a gun at him 😂😅

Not to mention the intrigue of who was sabotaging Xavier's IPO! Whewww I had NO idea it would be his daddy AND that same daddy's heritage used to own the Sinclairs as slaves once upon a time 😳😳

And don't even get me started on Charlie's and Xavier's Vegas wedding night 🔥

Loved loved loved this book!!

I also can't wait for Grant and Marlow's book! Such a perfect Segway!

6 🌟 read! Everyone needs to read this book! Everything Astoria was going through with her husband was so relatable to me as someone who literally went through all the emotions she went through before she decided to move forward with her divorce.

When she took the girls and her to Bray's house for Thanksgiving? I squealed so hard! I did the same thing with my son. I took us to my fiancé friend house to spend Thanksgiving with him, his son and his friends and their family. 🤗

Quick little novella I was reading for Valentine's Day. It was a risk reading it before I read book 1 and 2 but nothing was spoiled for me. If anything I'm more excited than ever to read the series 🤗
