Whenever this book was directly about the wallfacer project, I absolutely loved it. They were all such weirdo menaces to society, I found it really interesting to learn what their plans were. Hines's was the most crazy.
Really didn't like the romance, felt very incel-y to me. I did really like the theme of love as motivation, though.
major downgrade from the first book but I still enjoyed overall. Ye Wenchue was such a great character, I missed her in this. The whole book was far too masculine, the women only footnotes in men's stories.
*spoilers* teared up at the return of that one trisolaran who tried to protect humanity. love is real.
