Could've been so much better

A wlw book involving a diverse group of women with a charming and cute romance plot set in a women's soccer environment? Count me in! Just the kind of book to make me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside.

Aside from all that, the book has some very smart funny lines that actually made me laugh out loud, the characters are very lovable (although not perfect, which made them more realistic) and the setting in the game café was so cozy and nice, that I wish I had one of those places I could go to every week. The romance plot was very cute, they had great chemistry. I was rooting for them from the start, and it delivered!

As said earlier, it has a diverse cast of women, Elena is latina and on the autistic spectrum, Harper is overweight and super body positive, there are LGBT+ all around, and none of it is ever an issue. It's all very well handled by the author.

Apparently there will be novels about the other characters, and I'm looking forward to those as well!

I need more!

I think I like Crown of Midnight better, but still, this book was great.
