A wlw book involving a diverse group of women with a charming and cute romance plot set in a women's soccer environment? Count me in! Just the kind of book to make me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside.
Aside from all that, the book has some very smart funny lines that actually made me laugh out loud, the characters are very lovable (although not perfect, which made them more realistic) and the setting in the game café was so cozy and nice, that I wish I had one of those places I could go to every week. The romance plot was very cute, they had great chemistry. I was rooting for them from the start, and it delivered!
As said earlier, it has a diverse cast of women, Elena is latina and on the autistic spectrum, Harper is overweight and super body positive, there are LGBT+ all around, and none of it is ever an issue. It's all very well handled by the author.
Apparently there will be novels about the other characters, and I'm looking forward to those as well!
Wonderful. Perfect. Masterpiee.
It's not that there aren't some things that annoy me in this book. Like how the characters don't sound british at all, and that I wanted some more bakground on the relationship between the Mage and Simon. But it is still a perfect book.
It's Rainbow Rowell and it's gay, so I knew I would enjoy this.
This book is perfect. Just perfect.
it only took me a while to finish because of personal reasons, but once I could finally give it time to read, I finished it in a flash.
This book made me love 2 characters I hated, Manon and Lysandra. Manon is the perfect example of character growth. The story went on a path I didn't think it would so fast, so now I can only wonder what Sarah will be doing next.
Manon x Aelin. I need that again.
Once again Sarah J Maas owns my soul.
This is my first Emma Donoghue book, and it's worth 3 stars because I couldn't put it down. But the story had big flaws, like a lack of a serious plot twist, very predictable ending, the writing was quite confusing and the POV changes were quite odd. I liked the maind characters but they lacked depth, and the side characters were mostly very dislikable.
It is a pure romance story and that's what kept my interest.
I really don't see why people love John Green so much.
This book didn't have a plot for like 140 pages, the 2 main characters are very obnoxious, dislikable and annoying. There was only one character I actualy liked but he didn't have any important development.
I'm still gonna read Paper Towns next but I'm not expecting anything good.
3,5 stars. I must say I got interested in this book by the title alone, but it is worth reading regardless.
This book deals with teenage depression in a very obscure way, I think it lacks a little depth and the issue is resolved way too fast for me. It is a good book for teens to get introduced to this subject.
4,5 stars. The onlt bad thing about this book is that it's too short.
I bought this because I saw a good review on youtube but I didn't even know what it was about, but I'm so glad I read it.
It's unlike any other dystopian books I've ever read. I recommend this to anyone who'd like to see a dystopian world through the eyes of a innocent child fighting to survive and finding some semblance to love along the way.
It took me a while to start this book because I read some reviews that put me down but that was just a lesson for me to NEVER TRUST bad reviews of books from authors I love.
Holy shit this book was amazing! Once again Sarah J Maas killing me with her writing. I think I enjoyed this more than any book in the Throne Of Glass series.
Full five fae stars!
Actually 3,5 stars.
It's a good book, fast read, entertaining and there's no bs from the start, there's no filler and the author gets right into the plot. But it feels more like a novella than a real sequel.
I was expecting a lot I guess, but Rebel Belle was a lot better and funnier.
Still anticipating the next book, thought. Even if this one doesn't really end with a cliffhager, we know it can't just end like that, so the 3rd book should be better.
