Amazing , showstopping , spectacular, incredible , you know how the rest of the lady gaga GIF goes [ inserts here]

Evan Winter has created such a unique tale that reminds me of the gladiator but with more heavily inspired African culture which is just fantastic to me

His writing is so so good, the pacing did not drop for a single chapter in this book, the characters are well written ...even the ones that died at the beginning of the book leave a lasting impression

I honestly cannot tell you a single thing about this book I did not like ...this is a fantastic fantasy debut and he is definitely an author I hope will continue to grow as the series progresses

Tau is a charismatic MC just how I like them ...his tale of vengeance and hard work appeals to me so much and I cannot wait to see how that unfold in book two....once again this is truly amazing 5

Definitely the most boring one in the series

Pushed my ratings in the last 30% of this book , i didn't have as much fun with this compared to the first one I'll admit that

I loved the new characters like Coltaine and Felisin but apart from that there's nothing that really improved on the first book enough for me

I did enjoy Kalam's journey the most i felt it was the most intriguing part of book 2 and i hope he keeps on getting amazing scenes like the one with the other claw assassins

The prose was good as always , pacing was great as well i just wished more happened that i could really connect with in this book .. If it did it would've been a 5 star read

The next one better be good

I surprisingly enjoyed this ... Never thought I would care about another couple outside the core family

My problem with V.E Schwab remains

She has a good imagination quite alright but translating those thoughts into words and with good prose is impossible for her ... Sigh

Fonda Lee, I want to start by saying I look forward to your next project . GBS was a fantastic ride

Moving on, coming into this book I expected the deaths of important characters , I thought I was okay with it but it still hurt A LOT in the end ...I've been thinking about it non stop for two days now. I can't help but think about how Fonda managed to wrap up everyone's story extremes well...which is very difficult to do in a series with so many characters

I was impressed with Ayt Madashi's story in this book compared to the previous two, I enjoyed every bit of her ferocious nature and iron grip on her faction.

In general this was a fantastic conclusion , the only thing I didn't like about the way this saga ended was Ru's death...I felt she could've done it better it felt humiliating to say the least considering who is father is ...anyway this is a trilogy I will not stop recommending ....I absolutely adored every book in this series

Unbelievable

This woman ended it like THAT ???....I might go mad before the next book drops I can't wait. I have so many questions

I have so many concerns, I'm heartbroken and proud of Auren and I'm sad....I'm so over my babies suffering like this

I need book 5 plus I highly recommend this series and I know this isn't a proper review but I'm in severe pain and I think everyone should read it

I came into this series with a lot of high expectations and crossed fingers I didn't have to keep asking fans about what's going on after every chapter and I have to say it turned out to work really well for me

The story wasn't hard to follow at all but I would admit dealing with so many names at once was confusing for the first two books but it definitely got easier as the story unfolds

Erikson has created a vast world with amazing, powerful characters that got me intrigued from the start ...such a strong epilogue to open the series and then his prose is just

Shakespeare, I love you man but this ...i don't know what this is

Macbeth is such an uncharismatic MC, I really thought the story would unfold into something grand after the second act but it just got more stale.

The idea of one becoming a usurper because of a prophecy foretold by three witches you don't know is quite funny to me add that to the fact he killed banquo who would've been a good advisor ....the way he handled Duncan's children fleeing..also very stupid. The plot to kill Duncan was also poorly executed...like nothing about this story is good to me

Like this is a play filled with one person's bad decisions and it's not interesting enough to me ....I really wish I could love this but this might be his only play I will never reread

3.5 stars

I really did like the concept of the book and I felt that Casopiea does her best to uplift the story but midway through their journey to acquire the necessary body parts for the god of the underworld I got bored

SMG's writing is pretty good and I look forward to more of her books ...I hope the next one is a 5 star read or 4 at least cos I really want to see more of her ideas

Tolkien is probably the only author that could describe trees in fifty different ways and not once would it come off as boring . I know alot of modern readers do not really enjoy his detailed description of nature or characters but I feel that is one of the many things that makes this trilogy a different experience for me

The way he uses so many inspirations from his life to create this vast world of middle earth is extremely fascinating to me. Even the elvish language is just as beautiful as his prose. Truly he is one of a kind also the importance he gives to nature as a major influence on this story is one that resonates well with me

The characters that stuck with me throughout this journey were Frodo, Gandalf and Aragorn...I must say I look forward to seeing more of Isildur's heir ...the companionship/ friendship being established this early in the book is something I also enjoyed

I occasionally found the songs within the book to be intriguing as well especially the one about Luthien and Beren.

I found Tolkien's prose to be beautiful and dreamy, the plot of the story about companionship, adventure and good Vs evil to be interesting, his character work though still at the begining leaves a lot to be desired in the second book for some of the characters...I truly loved this

This is by far the most engaging and well written murderbot book

This series keeps getting better, I think murderbot's character development is at its absolute best in this book, the action, the dialogue ....perfection for me

I can't wait to get started on the next one

I really loved this...I was nearly really into formula 1 before this but now I think I'm going to catch a couple games

Shelley Parker-Chan spins a beautiful tale about two MCs who are driven in their pursuit for revenge

Filled with a lot of hidden plots, betrayal, alliances, awakened powers etc. What I found very interesting about this book is the recurring theme which I feel leans more on resilience than any other thing ...I absolutely adore MCs that are all about that , refusing to settle for the hand you were dealt

General Ouyang is an enigma for me ....at times he feels like the villain in this story and other times he feels like a hero in disguise..of the two MCs I'm more interested in his story and how it unfolds as the series continues

I loved the prose which was engaging enough for me, the pacing was very good which is something I appreciate A LOT especially for a first time author, the side characters Xu Da and Esen

I have to say jumping off a cliff to save yourself from a crazy person like Adrian takes courage

I fear for winter ...truly

Rina Kent's kind of mystery within the romance is just what I like

Can't wait to get started on book 2

3.5/5

All I can I say is Kerri needs to hurry up and drop the final book ...that ending is NOT WORKING FOR ME MA'AM

If anything happens to Emilia just know I will be under your bed

8/10

Been too long since I read this and it is still so good like I remember in literature classes.

Shakespeare writes a wonderful tale between two children from rival families. One thing I do enjoy about William's plays is how well one if not both of the main characters in the story convey their emotions so profoundly and his writing is so beautiful

Romeo does a good job playing the more intriguing character of the two lovers and everytime he speaks he does so with so much dedication is makes every other MC written by Shakespeare look like a joke, he is confident in his feelings and how much of them would cease to exist without the love of Juliet

The supporting cast Mercutio , Benvolio and Paris did well in elevating this play...I loved it ...this reread was even better than the first time

DNFed at 49%

I just couldn't do it ...I might try again someday (in a very distant future)...I was bored out of my mind

3.5/5 really

I think this is a pretty decent start to a YA series I might enjoy ...I didn't know what to expect coming into this but I'm glad I wasn't disappointed

It keeps getting better

A solid 10....this is unprecedented levels of storytelling

Robin Hobb to me might be the greatest storyteller of her generation. I cannot begin to enumerate the number of times I felt like I was watching a masterpiece unfold ...it's one thing to write literature with so little imagination and it's another thing to tell a story so vivid you could actually picture it in your mind as though it was already adapted to television

Robin Hobb's imagination is the latter...her character work is OUTSTANDING and I dare say it might be top 5 ever. She's so adept at writing her characters in the most profound way I haven't experienced since GRRM and Rothfuss.

PLOT : finishing book 1 ahead of this I genuinely didn't know what to expect but I knew it was going to take a toll on my emotions which it absolutely did, Fitzchivalry's story continues to impress in every way, the constant turmoil for the battle of duty Vs love is something I never get tired of in literature and Robin continues to expand on this theme incredibly well

Her dialogue is carefully crafted in a way each sentence kind of hurts you but it leaves you wanted more, her writing is so beautiful you almost get lost in the pages ... I thoroughly enjoyed this

The farseer trilogy is shaping up to me one of the best reading experiences of my life

“favourite word”
“YOU”

this is the first book by Christina Lauren I've ever read, I loved the cover and I decided to give it a try and I must say that was a great decision

Macy and Eliott's story started out a bit sad but I loved how happily it ended ...every moment leading up to them finding each other again was intriguing, there wasn't a moment the story dragged or it felt like the author was going away from the main characters

A beautiful story about family, loss and looking to the future

8.5/10

Mrs. Dalloway is beautiful tale of a worldly Englishwoman who goes through her life being affected by / afraid of the choices she's made in the past and also the choices she's yet to make in the future

The themes being explored in this book which I feel heavily centers on memory and age or the passage of time in simpler terms are more evident in characters like Lucrezia, Peter and of course Clarissa ...the use of the big Ben and the change post world war 1 brings to London is very evident in their lives ... especially Peter seeing as he's more open minded on his return from his time in India

Now skip to my favourite subject of this book SEPTIMUS . The way Woolf tackles the effect of war on his life is very intriguing to me ... The way she portrays not only how mental illness and PTSD affects not only the patient but the loved ones ( as seen in Lucrezia's memories of her time with septimus) is very interesting . This illness not only affects Spetimus but Clarissa as well seeing as she battled with depression for most part of her adult life

Her constant back and forth on the growth of these characters before the war and after is really what brings it altogether in the end ...showcasing that not only is the memory not a very reliable tool but it very important how much relationships and ideals we have when we're much younger plays a vital role in the people we eventually grow up to be
