William just knows how to drag you in with his character writing
Brutus being an idealist yet weak minded politician could've turned this entire story into something else if only he could think more of himself than lean on Ambitious men like Cassius to make the big decisions ...even after the death of Julius he was still not secure in his thoughts ( the scene at the tent)
Mark Anthony appeals to me the most in this one, his love and loyalty for Caesar sees him return Rome to a stable Republic again beside Ocatvius and Ledipus.....I still think all of this wouldn't have happened if Julius didn't ignore the obvious signs as he was too trusting of his fellow politicians in the senate
It was a story filled with good character work ...yet another great play by the English author
9/10
Amazing, show stopping, sensational ....I'm running out of words to describe part 4 and 5 of this
I would admit that this was a little slower at first compared to WOR but the ending makes up for it 100% ...I would also like to say this is the THE MOST significant book in the stormlight archive so far . It perfectly answers the question WHY???
why are the radiants back??...why are the parshendi and the parshmen so bent on conquering all of Roshar ???.... I could also claim this is the most empathetic book Sanderson has ever written and it has the greatest scene in all of cosmere
There's so much depth to certain characters now and I honestly can't wait to see how their stories evolve , I also enjoyed the light being on the minor characters more (bridge four, Szeth-son and by some extension Adolin and Renarin)...I really can't wait to read Rhythm of war .... Sanderson delivers again
Frank Herbert's prose is the first thing I have to mention...throughout literature I've realised the books from the 70s-90s have a much better prose compared to modern day sci-fi/ fantasy
What went wrong???....it doesn't engage in information dump or describes a particular moment a 100 times in so many words ...it's so easy to digest
Moving on, dune is a story that indulges all my fascination in interstellar travel, science fiction and space opera ???(not entirely sure about this one) ...I love the characters, the world of arrakis (even thought it's mostly made of sand) fascinates me A LOT ...Paul Atreides the MC of the story is so charismatic for a 15 year old ...I enjoyed every bit of this and I cannot wait to pick up dune messiah ....beautiful literature
Once in a while in a literature there comes a book that reminds us to be thankful for all that was given to us since birth, for the experiences we had and the way we were brought up
This falls into that category, I felt so overwhelmed completing this book...Shannon and Johnny's story felt so touching, so well written it's actually weird that this is a high-school romance but I have enjoyed this more than some adult books
This is definitely one of the best books of 2022 (my reads)....Chloe Walsh you have a fan in me forever ...such a lovely tale
Merged review:

Robin hobb writes like she's taking her time to see silk piece by piece to create a beautiful garment
It's been a long time since I read prose so good , so simple ....fitzchivalry's tale is one that has really captured me and in many way I cannot help but comment on how much he reminds me of Kvothe .
Verity, burrich , Fitz and to some extent Chade really had my attention among the many characters in this book, pacing was great I really enjoyed the voice of the book like A LOT ....this is incredible literature ...I cannot wait to pick up the second book
Going into this book like everyone else, I would say the name and THAT cover page drew me in ....I actually didn't read the synopsis...I just found out it had space opera themes in it and I was sold immediately
I would admit that some of the names made reading very quickly a bit difficult for me at first but it got better eventually
I really dof enjoy this...the author spins a beautiful tale with a little drop of romance which I absolutely loved ....I think this is one of the most exciting sci-fi I've read in a while ....twelve azelea, three seagrass and nineteen azdea have My heart...I look forward to book 2
P.S. - if you love star wars, you should definitely check this out
I think this sets up the story well enough
I would've loved to understand the world a bit better but I'm more impressed with murderbot itself I actually don't care about anything else
Can't help but wonder if that wasn't the impression Martha wells hoped to leave on her readers ...still I'm looking forward to the next book
9.5/10
He just doesn't miss does he ???....I'm so excited for the future of this series
This is a genre defining series ....yes I know Tolkien, GRRM, Patrick and Erikson stand out throughout the years but I really think this is a statement series for a whole new generation
I'm super excited for every plot and sub plot within the series even the ones that are loosely tied to the main story ....Dalinar and Kaladin....exceptional yet again I'm running out of words to describe how it feels reading Kaladin's journey
I'm happy to see Adolin is starting to question his purpose in Alethkar's future. Now to the more important character development I must mention Miss Shallan Davar, good God ...I really didn't understand her purpose in this series until the last 300 pages or so ...I can say she's grown on me and I really look forward to future chapters of her POV
JASNAH KHOLIN....without you all this doesn't happen, God it feels good to have her back ....Sanderson you are a supreme craftsman
Kennedy Ryan is too good at this shit
Idk how she does it but i 100% cannot resist anything she writes .... 2am in the morning..eyes bringing water cos I'm exhausted I'm still reading this
It's that good ... It was nice seeing August and Iris again..my babies .... B and Jared had a beautiful story ... I really enjoyed this
Kennedy Ryan does it Again
I don't know how she cooks up her romance that has me smiling at my phone at 2am in the morning.... Kenan was so fucking sweet, Lotus was amazing as well
I enjoyed this A LOT .... The death scare at the end.. OMG... I have a feeling this is a recurring theme for Miss Kennedy
highly recommended black romance
Words cannot describe how Beautiful this book is
The prose is like silk, I breezed through this..... I honestly can't say there was a moment in this book I didn't feel captivated with the plot or the characters in question
The main characters Mamoru and Misaki...especially misaki my fucking MILF...please I will die for her ....her journey from rebellious teen to housewife and then ending up as a strong pillar of her community was incredible to follow and Mamoru in his own way really represented the struggles of living up to so well accomplished ancestors
I look forward to whatever M.L Wang does next ....this is a must read standalone everyone should recommend on a daily basis...I throughly enjoyed this
I went into this not exactly expecting anything mind-blowing but i can say that i was shocked with how much i loved the last 100 pages
The weird science was hard to get by at first, i must say i enjoyed the duels...in fact every fighting scene was the highlight if this book for me as well as Gideon occasionally being funny
The prose gave me a slight heache but the pacing was pretty cool through the book, harrowhark certainly grew on me as the book progressed and i can't wait to read her own version of this series .... This is was good read 7.5/10
I haven't read all of Shakespeare's play to say this is his best one but I can say Hamlet is the most profound character he's ever written (among all the works I've read so far which isn't everything ) ... I really enjoyed how much he questions the actions of men at every turn and not give into his urges
Yes he kills Polonious which is a mistake btw but I think in the aftermath if Hamlet could've taken that back he would .... He risked a lot trying to get rid of his Uncle and while I do recognise his level of dedication I felt it cost him too much
The ultimate question here is was the ghost really his father or one that could appear as something else maybe based on your deepest desires or something ???... I had to ask ... Though I think that was proved my Claudius' reaction still I can't help but wonder if Hamlet was entirely sane throughout the course of this play
I love it ... A very sad, intriguing tale indeed
“UNITE THEM”
Where do I begin to sing praises, is it the character work?, the pacing? , the incredibly engaging dialogue or the prose that is so good , the world building ???
Sanderson has improved on so many things since his mistborn era and I'm so excited about that ... Moving on
Dalinar, Kaladin, jasnah ....Those were the outstanding characters for me so far ... I'm really impressed with how well Brandon has improved in personal relationships and his main characters diving deep into their emotions ... His ability to take you on a journey through his books that leaves you so immersed in the world still remains his biggest strength as a writer
This was a spectacular book and I cannot wait to see how the rest of the stormlight archive unfolds ....I can say this is one of my all time favourite introduction into a fantasy series .... I absolutely loved it
